Ballybay Angling Association Open Pike Match Results
Ballybay Angling Association in conjunction with Irelands Coarse Fishing hosted their first annual Pike competition on Lough Egish on Sunday 22nd January. Just under 60 anglers attended on the day, with 30 fish in total being caught.
High winds pushed fish into the deeper waters, with many of the larger catches coming from the Lattonfasky roadside.
Results from the day were;
1st – Pat Clarke with 23 lb 15oz,
2nd – Pat Daly with 17 lbs,
3rd – Andrew Keyzeveius with 8 lb 3oz
4th – Henri Walkowek with 7 lb 13 oz
Heaviest fish of the day went to Pat Daly with 12 lb 8oz and the prize for fish caught nearest the secret time went to Piotr Kaczmarek.
Steward's prize went to Neil O'Brien for the most fish weighed.
Ballybay Angling Association and Irelands Coarse Fishing would like to thank Venture Sports and Anglers Paradise for donating some of the prizes for the day, also John Murray ( Lake View Lodge ) for providing food and refreshments for all anglers after the match.
